Artist's Comments RE-POST STUFFMy entry for Dianae's contest [link] Finally done!  --- Geb and Nut are the egyptian gods of Earth -Geb- and Sky -Nut-. Both children of Shu and Tefenet (also brothers). Geb and Nut fell so deeply in love that they used to remain always embracing each other, not allowing anything to grow or live between them. Their grandfather Ra, jealous of their love, ordered their father Shu -the Air- to separate them. Also, Ra forbid Nut to give bitrth to Geb's children any day of the year. Sad, isn't it? - btw, she manages to have the children, who will be Osiris, Haroeris, Seth, Isis and Neftis. But she'll never be able to touch her beloved again without crushing the whole world... ...let's hope she'll be able to contain herself... =_= --- I hope you could understand all the story. I'm not very good with english... this myth is very interesting
it's very nice !
I'm glad you like it, and the myth too. I think it's one of the most interesting ones in egyptian mythology ^^
